ASEAN-OSHNET Virtual Learning of OSH
ASEAN-OSHNET Virtual Leaning to Enhance Understanding and Implementation of OSH Management Systems for SMEs, Malaysia on 3 March 2021
The workshop aims to enhance understanding and implementation of OSH management systems for SMEs and rational of workshop is small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are widely acknowledged as the backbone of the ASEAN economy. Indeed, half of the ASEAN workforce is working in small and medium enterprises. It is therefore very important that small and medium enterprises manage occupational safety and health (OSH) adequately. This implies serious challenges for AMS
The workshop’s objective:
- To train Labour Inspectors among AMS on how to implement OSH Management System for SME; and
- To discuss the challenges and future of OSH in SMEs in ASEAN Member States with the emerging of OSH issues (e.g. new normal).
Participant for the workshop are Head of OSH Departments or Senior Management involved in OSH policy-making from each ASEAN Member States and ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC)
