Occupational Safety and Health Programme
In Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar 2008 mentioned as follow,
The state shall enact the necessary laws to protect the rights of workers.
Responsible Government Agencies on OSH are as follows,
- Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection Department (FGLLID) under Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MOLES)
- Boiler and Electrical Inspection Agency under Ministry of Industry
- Occupational Health Division under Ministry of Health
- Department of Mine under Ministry of Mine
- Myanmar Industrial Crops Development Enterprise under Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation
- City Development Committees
Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection Department (FGLLID)
Objective
- To enhance the productivity of labour by ensuring workers to enjoy their legal rights regularly and fully under the existing labour laws.

Regional and International cooperation
FGLLID has been cooperating outreaching regional and international partners or organization such as project of “Developing National Training Strategies for the Labour Inspectors in Myanmar” with ILO and the project of enhancement of OSH system in Myanmar with Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) after signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
