On 22 June 2026, Thailand, through the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare (DLPW), Ministry of Labour, hosted the ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Scorecard Workshop in its capacity as the lead country for the development of ASEAN OSH indicators under the ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network (ASEAN-OSHNET).
The workshop was officially opened by the Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, who currently serves as Chair of ASEAN-OSHNET. Representatives from all ten ASEAN Member States and the ASEAN Secretariat participated in the meeting.
The workshop provided a platform for ASEAN Member States to review and discuss the ASEAN OSH Scorecard, including proposed additional indicators aimed at ensuring the Scorecard remains relevant to the evolving world of work. Participants expressed broad support for the proposed additional questions and engaged in constructive discussions on practical approaches to data collection, data availability, and the appropriate level of detail for regional reporting.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the newly developed online OSH Scorecard system, including the migration of 2024 data into the new platform. Member States will be able to review, update, and revise their respective data to ensure greater accuracy, consistency, and completeness of information at the regional level.
During the workshop, ASEAN Member States actively exchanged experiences and shared national practices related to occupational safety and health, contributing to mutual learning and regional cooperation in the field of OSH.
The workshop concluded with closing remarks delivered by the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, who expressed appreciation to all participants for their valuable contributions and constructive engagement.
The outcomes and recommendations from the workshop will be consolidated and submitted for consideration at the 27th ASEAN-OSHNET Coordinating Board Meeting (CBM), scheduled to be held in Da Nang, Viet Nam.
