Occupational Safety and Health Programme

  1. Third Country Training Programme on OSH in Small and Medium Enterprises in Selected ASEAN and Asia-Pacific Countries
  2. Provide participants with an opportunity to upgrade knowledge and techniques to improve OSH in SMEs
  3. Number of participants: 20, including 2 from the Philippines
  4. Participants’ qualifications:
    • be nominated by their respective government/organizations in accordance with the procedure for application
    • for government participant- hold a senior level position, preferably labor inspector or technical official;
    • for workers’ union participant- be a safety and health practitioner with direct and active involvement in OSH activities of the organization
    • for employer sector participant- be practicing safety and health practitioners with direct and active involvement in the OSH activities of their organization;
    • preferably a trainer or have experience in training or facilitating in OSH or related fields;
    • preferably have practical experience of more than 2 years in the field of OSH;
    • be more than 25 and under 50 years of age;
    • have a good command of spoken and written English;
    • be in good health, both physically and mentally, to participate and complete the course; and
    • must possess clearance to travel from their respective Ministry of Foreign
    • Affairs or its equivalent when selected.
